Here are some of the important tips to consider before purchasing your Logitech product. Also some guidelines on which products that suits your needs.
For office use. If your job requires you to toggle between heaps of documents and constantly accessing certain files in certain folders. Then you should consider getting the following:
- Any Logitech keyboards
- MX Revolution
- MX 1100
Limited desk space. Don't have the extra space to move your mouse around?
- Any Logitech trackball.
- Any Logitech cordless keyboards and mice (since you don't need line of sight for communication)
For design applications. Photoshop, AutoCAD, 3D Studio, etc. Recommended to just get a simple 2 button with scroll wheel mouse. Reason is that the design applications mentioned above are not designed to be able to support the extra buttons or handle advanced instructions of the mouse or the Logitech software. Chances are that you will be struggling to get the advanced features of the mouse to be fully functional in the software. Who is to blame? Nobody. Since design applications are programmed to support native mouse HID functions while Logitech software is designed to enhance the mouse functions over the standard HID. Unless the design applications' software engineers are willing to integrate Logitech drivers into their application, then its a different story.

I hope you guys get the whole idea behind this. The main point is to buy what suits your needs. I've seen people out there seeking help frantically for using a joystick on a football game, a racing wheel to fly a plane and so on. If the product is not designed for something that you would want it to be, please DON'T buy it and seek for help later on. Always read the systems requirement or research user reviews before buying something that you know its not gonna work with your configuration.
